Yorkshire Union Meeting – Hosting Mark Evans 25 March 2026
The Yorkshire Union hosted Law Society President, Mark Evans, at the offices Schofield Sweeney Solicitors in Leeds on Wednesday 25 March 2026.
James Staton, President of the Yorkshire Union chaired the meeting, which was also attended by Christopher Carney of Schofield Sweeney, Kara Davies of Open Law Solicitors and Emma Pearmaine, Jessica Nugent-Herrett and Corinne Barnett of Ridley & Hall Solicitors. There was a wide ranging panel discussion about matters of concern to Yorkshire solicitors. The meeting was also attended by representatives of Bradford, Doncaster, Leeds and Sheffield local law societies.

Law School Challenge Quiz Night – Wednesday 18 March 2026 – Smile Bar and Venue, Aspley
The Great Legal Quiz took place on Wednesday 18 March at the Smile Bar and Venue. The charity quiz, hosted by Honorary Secretary Natalie Prowse, of the University of Huddersfield, was in aid of LawWorks and Advocate as part of the Law School Challenge.
£500 was raised on the evening. Congratulations to the winning team from Eaton Smith Solicitors.
