The 139th AGM was held virtually via Zoom for the first time in the Society’s history.

Our outgoing President, James Smith of Holden Smith Solicitors, passed over the chain of office to incoming President ,James Staton of Schofield Sweeney Solicitors.

Great Legal Quiz – 25th November 2020

 

The event was held virtually for the first time and was well supported by a number of firms and students and staff from the University of Huddersfield. £80 was raised for legal aid charities LawWorks and Advocate).

Congratulations to the winning team, law students Rebekah and Ellie from the University of Huddersfield.

Virtual Law Society Presidents & Secretaries’ Conference

Our Honorary Secretary Natalie Gibson was invited to speak on behalf of ‘small’ local law societies at the national Law Society’s Presidents and Secretaries’ Conference regarding how the Covid-19 pandemic has affected our Society.

Giant Pub Games Event
5 February 2020 – St Patrick’s Catholic Centre

Our giant pub games event was held in conjunction with Sunshine Events. Giant games included Connect 4, Jenga, Skittles, Darts, Air Hockey & Table Football.
